$18.00 USD

This product is unavailable

Full-bodied with Subtle Floral Aromas
This hearty ceremonial-grade matcha brews a deeply rich emerald green cordial with robust body, sweet-savory undertones and a bouquet of floral notes and delicate tannins
Iridescent green in color, Meiko™ (an epithet referencing to the beautiful budding of a flowering plant) is masterfully blended to create a well-defined, flavorsome brew with sweet, mellow top notes, followed by savory undertones of salted caramel and with floral hints of tannins complementing the finish. This matcha is characterized by its remarkable ooika fragrance, a captivatingly refreshing aroma found only in the most exceptional shade-grown green tea. Perfect to be brewed on its own or enjoyed as part of a plethora of health elixirs of choice.

Place 1/2 tsp (approx. 2 bamboo scoops) of matcha (~1g) in matcha bowl, then wet with 15ml (0.5fl oz) of 70ºC/160ºF water. Thoroughly knead mixture using bamboo whisk until smooth paste forms. Add 70ml (2.4fl oz) of remaining water and mix until consistent.
Upon sipping, roll the liquid around the palate to appreciate the full flavor anatomy of the tea.
- Store in a cool dry place, away from moisture, sunlight, and odors
- Refrigerate after opening for maximum flavor and potency

so smooth and sweet!

I've tried several matcha powders before, but this one is easily one of my favorites! It's super creamy even without milk, and pretty sweet compared to other powders I've tried. There's little to no acidity or astringency, so it's perfect as an usucha as well. I highly recommend this powder to individuals who don't like "grassy" or acid-tasting matcha powders, or anyone who likes a smooth matcha to get through the day!

Thank you, Cali, for your lovely feedback on our Meiko Matcha! It’s always a pleasure to hear from happy customers like you. We can’t wait to serve you again soon! – Matchaeologist Team

My favourite matcha

I’m so glad I found this matcha! I love the popular Japanese brands, but this is by far my favourite! Affordable and easier to get my hands on, but still providing that iconic matcha taste. Split 1kg bag with my friend currently have 500g in my fridge for me to make drinks and sweet treats

We’re so grateful for your kind words, Gabriella. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our Meiko matcha — your support means the world to us! – Matchaeologist Team

Simply the best

I have purchased the Meiko 100g several times and it simply is my favourite matcha ever. I can’t wait for the restock and I think I will try the 1kg bag! As a side note, I love the tin cans and have been reusing them in my kitchen to store round teabags, they’re the perfect fit ;)
My favourite ratio is 5g matcha for 100g water, one tea spoon of maple syrup, pinch of Irish Sea salt and 150g of whole milk!

Thanks a ton for your thoughtful review of our Meiko matcha, Emma! It’s always great to hear such positive feedback. We hope you continue enjoying it and look forward to having you back again soon! – Matchaeologist Team

Wow

I’ve been trying out sooo many matchas but this is my new staple! My husband and I loved it so much he repurchased it but the 1kg bag! Not bitter or astringent. Creamy and perfect! Froths amazing and the color is mesmerizing! If it’s in stock just go ahead and purchase it

Thank you, Nikki, for your lovely feedback on our Meiko matcha! It’s always a pleasure to hear from happy customers like you. We can’t wait to serve you again soon! – Matchaeologist Team

Best matcha for everyday use

Very good value for money, the matcha whisks well and creates a really good microfoam that’s creamy. Not bitter, with nutty and floral notes. High quality and vibrant green, fine texture too so I don’t even sift it half the time. The 100g tin is better than the smaller tin and lasts very long for daily use. My favorite matcha, can’t recommend it enough!!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a positive review of our Meiko match, Amirtha! We really appreciate it! Please let us know in case there’s anything else at all we can do to help you further! We look forward to serving you again in the future! – Matchaeologist Team
