Ordered Matsu as my first ever ceremonial grade Matcha, and just finished it after having it for about a month. Kept the tin can closed and inside a ziplock bag within my fridge when not in use in order to preserve the flavor.
Was pleasant to drink and was as described on product description: Umami and mellow roasted as described along with savory undertones; no bitterness at all was observed. Used for Usucha and Matcha Latte. Grateful to have used this Matcha as my first ceremonial grade! And I look forward to ordering the others from Matchaeologist.
One word of caution I will give is in regards to the tin can this matcha is meant to be placed in. Be sure to not force the tin lid onto the body of the can so as to force it closed. I did this early on, which ended up with extreme difficulty in opening the can for the latter half of the month. I had to pry the lid open with a spoon towards the end uses (which should not be happening). This detracted from the user experience significantly. Definitely not the company's fault, and rather was a user error on my part. I have since then ordered a Misaki can and have been careful when closing the tin can, making sure to "catch" the grooves rather than force the lid upon the body.
Hope this helps! Included are pictures of my last drink from this Matsu Matcha using their glass Chawan and Katakuchi serving Bowl products.
Best,
Kevin
