Our signature Uji houjicha powder is deep roasted to bring out the captivating toasty aromas with a hint of caramelized sugar — ideal for use in recipes
This reserve houjicha powder is made from carefully selected tea leaves from the renowned tea-growing region of Uji that are steamed, dried, and artisan roasted to bring out the distinctive aromas of toasted nuts, coffee, and caramelized sugar. We use proprietary ‘deep-roasting’ techniques, manually calibrating the roasting time and temperature to imbue the tea with the perfect intensity and robustness. This roasted tea is milled into a fine powder, which can easily be incorporated into any drink or dessert recipes such as houjicha lattes, ice-cream and desserts.
This houjicha powder is ideal as an ingredient for use in lattes, smoothies, desserts, and other culinary creations.
